
Steps to get ready for your first day of work!
Ride Attendants
- Completing your paperwork through Paycor
- Bring in your ID’s for your I-9 documentation to your first orientation
- Park Orientation Sign-up
- CPR Certification Course Sign-up
- You will need to sign up for an attend a CPR Certification Course. The fee for this certification course is covered by the park, however, this is an unpaid certification course as the CPR certification is a required qualification for the Ride Attendant position. If you already have a certification, let us know and text us a picture of your unexpired CPR certification.
- Manage your availability for work in paycor by requesting time off
- Reminder Tip! We need to know when you can’t work, not when you can work. Any dates or times you do not have a time-off request in, we would assume you are available to work.
- Rescue Team Orientation Sign-up
- Online Dispatch Training Sign-up

- Pick up your name tag, team member ID and parking permit from the waterpark administrative office
- Directions to the administrative office: Our address is 849 General Booth Boulevard. If you are coming in from the General Booth Entrance, drive past Hugh Mongous the Gorilla, park at the end of the parking row in 15 Minute Parking, and walk towards the orange ticket booth building. There is a green door all the way to your left, with a window that says “Administrative Offices” knock on the door for entry.
- Purchase your uniform with online order and pick up in the Gift Shop

- Optional: Download a payroll deduction form for uniforms.
- Park in the employee parking lot
- Go through the Employee Entrance
- Put your belongings in a locker
- Ocean Breeze Waterpark has 2 employee breakrooms. Both break rooms have lockers (you will need to bring your own lock), or you can utilize the hooks and shelves available. We recommend using a locker with a lock you bring from home to secure your personal items. The waterpark is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

15 Year Old Lifeguards
- Completing your paperwork through Paycor
- Complete Step 1 of your work permit and send us your youth identifier number by texting: 757-743-7170 or emailing us at [email protected]
- Lifeguard Training Course Sign-up
- Please sign up for the first available class you can attend by following the registration link. You only need to attend one class, but you must attend each day of that class. If you are unable to pay for class in full, please email [email protected] to register with a 50% deposit. Please choose a class that works with your schedule. You must attend all class sessions and dates in full. There is a $25 transfer fee to transfer from one class session to another class session.
- New-Hire Lifeguard Class Payroll Deduction
- HR will need to see a proof of age document, please bring in a proof of age document to the water park office. Examples of proof of age document are birth certificate, child identification card, and Passport. Please also bring in your documents for the I-9,
- Complete your work permit
- Once you have successfully completed your lifeguard class and been issued your license, and we have your proof of age document HR will complete step 2 of your work permit and notify you that your parent or guardian needs to complete step 3.
- Note: Until we have a completed and signed work permit you may not attend any additional trainings in person or online until the work permit is complete.

- Lifeguards that are 16 and older can sign up for the first available park orientation. If you are 15, you must wait until you have completed your lifeguard training course and have been issued your work permit.

- Your manager will schedule your department orientation through paycor, it is important to put in your time off requests to reflect your availability! Once the schedule has been posted, you will be notified through paycor.
